E-commerce platform redesign

  • #CRM / Loyalty program
  • #Customer Data Management

Context

Médor et Compagnie®, launched in 2003 and driven by the passion of its founders, is developing expertise in the pet supplies market. The aim of these animal welfare experts was to reverse an initial focus on e-Commerce, by strengthening Click and Collect and making the website a faithful showcase for the company’s shops. A challenge that Clever Age had already successfully met for botanic®.

Customer request

Médor et Compagnie® wanted to create a truly omnichannel e-Commerce site, enabling customers to find the same products, information and access to the loyalty programme online as they would in shop.

Description of the project

This large-scale project is unique in terms of its complexity and the involvement of several third-party partners.

It was launched around a proven technical architecture, based on the Planet Unified Commerce solution and the core model developed for botanic®. The botanic® and Médor et Compagnie® sites are 99% based on an identical code structure, designed to simplify upgrades. As a result, developers can deploy more quickly, with less duplication of effort.

To meet Médor et Compagnie®’s specific needs, several features were integrated:

  • Integration of the CRM and loyalty system, Nymphéa, for seamless and optimized customer data management.
  • Implementation of an external promotional management engine, provided by CapInfo (initially designed for point-of-sale software and not for web integration), allowing for precise configuration of offers, loyalty statuses, and customer benefits.
  • Enhancement of the site’s informational experience through a significant set of editorial modules.

Additionally, Clever Age leveraged a high-performing ecosystem of partner solutions:

  • CapEncy for improving the quality of the postal address database.
  • Avis Vérifiés (Skeepers) for collecting and disseminating customer testimonials.
  • Lengow for distributing and managing the catalog across various channels.
  • ITinSell for managing shipping and parcel tracking.

The system also includes PSP Lyra (an internally developed connector) for payment management.

The teams from Clever Age (for project management and development), Jaune (for UX design and mock-ups), and Médor et Compagnie® worked throughout the project in a dynamic of collaboration and trust.

Results

Sales are off to a strong start for this site, which was launched at the end of April 2025, and the order preparation process has become smoother and better structured
