The Clarins group decided to integrate an online shopping experience to the websites of its various brands, including:
- Clarins;
- Thierry Mugler;
- Azzaro.
Prior to building its architecture, the group’s e-commerce branch sought assistance from an independent contractor able to identify the underlying technical challenges and provide solutions to face them. Clever Age was selected to perform this task.
Our mission was to support the e-commerce branch in defining the architecture for the entire group, all the while taking full account of Clarins’ specifics:
- Multiple brands;
- Multiple countries;
- Multiple languages.
We defined the functional architecture to be implemented, paying due attention to the interactions between the current information system (business management, logistics, and so on) and the new features (online catalog, cart management, promotional campaigns, etc.).
We then identified and compared several scenarios for implementation, each of them providing one or more suitable technical solutions.
