Created in 1999, La Mode est à Vous (LMV) is specialized in women’s fashion. It is a creative and accessible brand with loyal customers on the lookout of new products. LMV owns over 83 physical stores and also sells its collections of women’s clothing and fashion accessories online. In order to remedy the performance problems of its previous website, especially during sales period, LMV decided to redesign its eCommerce site, previously using Prestashop. Clever Age have proposed to deploy the Magento eCommerce solution that perfectly meets the requirements of advanced development, peak load management and evolutionary flexibility. After only 6 months of joint development, the platform has perfectly passed the test of sales, while using far fewer hosting resources!

The eCommerce replatforming project

The main goals were to stabilize and boost the performances of the eCommerce Website but also to set-up the latest technologies. To address those challenges we have : built a solid architecture for the product catalog, create a connection between Magento and Cegid Retail ERP, develop Magento extensions to answer specific needs of LMV, built a Responsive Web Design theme and welcome their technical team in our office to train them to Magento and help them in their developments.

This project has been driven by the quest of best performances: server applications, transaction, catalog updates, client browsers.

Connection between Cegid and Magento to manage cross-channel

The connection between the eCommerce platform Magento and Cegid ERP allows to exchange a huge amount of flows : products, stocks, customer, order, loyalty cards, order status, invoices, shipping, return of merchandise authorization (RMA)… Datas are exchanged thanks to flat-files to insure security and maintainability.

Thanks to the Retail Cegid version, LMV handle every step from the supply chain to the online and offline selling.

Other cross-channel specificity, Magento has been connected to a loyalty management program, run by Aquitem. This integration allows synchronization of loyalbty points and loyalty cards, at the same time online and in store. The customer accumulates its fidelity advantages on all of its purchases.

Magento customizations for a real retail strategy

Through the seasons, “LMV La Mode est à Vous” offers surprising, sparkling fashion. There’s something for everyone, something that’s different. In order to follow this originality, the brand chooses to pay attention to user experience, advise and inspiration from its eBuyers.

By clicking on the « look » category, LMV offers a selection of 3 female buyer’s profile and numerous detailed combinations, looking like a real fashion magazine lookbook.

Regarding the tab “themes”, this section is a selection of products related to a same range (color, texture, design…).A real source of inspiration for the customer.

Another key feature of this project is the geolocalisation. This extension allows to spot the closest store in order to maintain the loyalty of customer to physical stores.

LMV is a Magento website designed for mobile. With a perfect display on every devices ( desktop, tablet, mini-tablet, smartphone), the LMV eCommerce website allows its clients to order anytime, everywhere and according to their preferences.

A Magento co-development to increase independency

Performances optimization at every stages!

LMV is using Magento Enterprise Edition for its ability to deliver quickly web pages and absorb strong peaks of traffic. A big attention was payed to the cache management and a connection with Varnish has allowed to obtain an average answer time close to 300 milliseconds.
